Quarterbacks

Matt Schaub-  I am not worried about the Texans offense.  The Jets may be the best defense in the league, not exaggerating at all. Going forward Schaub still has a Top-5 QB upside. 
Offer up: Matt Hasselbeck, Eli Manning, Matt Ryan
Pitch: “Your gonna keep a guy with ZERO TDs last week?”

Matt Cassel- The Chiefs were impressive passing the ball if you factor in that they used their third string QB and also played the Ravens.  When Cassel takes back the reigns he should put up the type of numbers he did last year, which ultimately was a Top-8 season.  Believe in Coach Haley. Week 3 looks like the date he will be back.    
Offer up: Kyle Orton, Trent Edwards, Eli Manning
Pitch: “Well he might not be back till Week 4 (Tall Tale)”

Running Backs

Pierre Thomas- Bell did well in Week 1, there’s not doubt about that, but Thomas is the more lucrative back in New Orleans.   Thomas owners might be frustrated about the situation in New Orleans backfield. They want someone to take that uneasy feeling away.  Be that guy.  Ease their pain and offer some of these seemingly more “secure” options.  What I would do is wait till after the Saints Week 2 game against the Eagles.  It is probable neither Bell nor Thomas will have an over-the-top performance.  Strike with a proposal days before the Saints Week 3 game against Buffalo.   
Offer up:  Julius Jones, Cedric Benson, Cadillac Williams, I would even think Beanie Wells and Moreno here if you have a steady third RB.
Pitch: “Dude you have no RB2, I’m offering a team’s No. 1 option.”

Derrick Ward-Like Thomas owners, Ward owners might be spooked by the Cadillac game.  I take Ward’s high YPC of 5.2 in his split with Cadillac as a really good sign. It was right near his career YPC of 5.1. This type of effectiveness is the “norm” for Ward.  On the other hand I think Cadillac played out of his ass.  Yea he had the hot hand, but you have to question how long he will keep this up. Overall, Tampa Bay ran the ball at will against Dallas, who is no slouch on defense.  TB’s line is underrated.  I think we could have a miniature Carolina, NYG, or Tennessee-ish rushing offense on our hands here. Yes Graham is still around but appears to be less of a factor that initially thought.

Pitch: “You need a full-time back.”

Wide Receivers

Vincent Jackson- Jackson performed excellent against the Raiders, he even caught a TD in Asomugha’s area.  Luckily he didn’t do “too good” to where you couldn't still get him undervalued.  Shhh don’t tell anyone but Jackson is a Top-10 Hulk.
Offer Up: Braylon Edwards, Anquan Boldin ( I would),  Terrell Owens
Pitch: “C’mon man I’m offering you TO”

Chad OchoCinco-  Wow, did Cinco have any 90 yard games last year?  We thought he was going to be a WR2 before the season and this was a great way to start the year.  Have faith in Cinco’s skills.  We fully believe in Chad’s “progression to the mean” in ’09.
Offer Up: Braylon Edwards, Terrell Owens, Anquan Boldin
